I’ve looked into it. The systems are very expensive, in that it would take many years to realize your utility savings. Unless the government gives incentives, and tax cuts to the manufacturing industry & consumer, these systems will remain expensive, and out of reach to the common homeowner

Why are we finding dead baby birds on our solar cover?

We went outside today to remove our solar cover, and we found two dead baby birds laying on the top of the cover. The birds had no feathers yet, and seemed very newborn.

Why are we finding them on our solar cover? There aren’t any trees close by, so it’s rather bizarre. Also, what can we do to avoid anymore dead baby birds on our solar cover?

Thousands…how many depends on how much you want to depend on it. Basically the system will only provide enough power to run devices with small loads, such as light bulbs, small televisions, radios, small fans. If you want to run an electric clothes dryer or oven …forget it. You will need a separate generator, or you might be able to supply your access power to the main grid of the electrical supplier near you. They might then in turn provide most of your electricity for free.
